Building Community
The United Way of Washington County -East partners with a wide variety of health and human service agencies in the area, working to better understand the needs of our community. In addition, we sponsor two formal programs to support volunteerism and innovation in the community.
Youth United Way
Youth grades 9-12 work as a team to solve problems that face the community. It's an opportunity to develop leadership skills and make important decisions on important issues facing youth and their families. Kay Clint Fund
The Kay Clint Fund supports new, creative, or experimental programs to address unmet or emerging social needs. It is separate and distinct from the United Way's annual campaign, offering an alternative opportunity to donors who wish to contribute to future needs of the community through a capital fund donation. Last Year, with your help...

- More than 500 families affected by domestic violence received shelter, legal advocacy, and support services
- Nearly 1,000 people gained financial stability through credit counseling
- 130 families cared for dying loved ones with the help of hospice care
- More than 1,000 people received physical and occupational therapy and other recovery services
- Nearly 900 young people were kept out of the legal system through early intervention and counseling
