Executive Director

Based in Stillwater, Minnesota, the United Way of Washington County • East is seeking an energetic professional to serve as the Executive Director of our organization.
Our ideal candidate will have the ability to proactively engage a strong volunteer base, to collaborate with agencies, other United Way organizations and community leaders and to partner with the staff and Board of Directors. In addition to day-to-day organization leadership, the Executive Director will guide the development and implementation of fundraising and fund distribution. The successful candidate will dedicate significant efforts to understand the challenges facing the local community and leading the tactical and strategic plans to implement solutions for improvement.
We seek a strategic leader with strong, proven operational abilities, computer application acumen and excellent communication skills with all constituents. The successful candidate will also demonstrate excellent planning and problem solving abilities. A minimum of three years of fund raising, fund distribution and management is expected. A four-year college degree with a background in social services, business administration or marketing is preferred. Preference will also be given to a candidate with current or previous knowledge or experience in the geographic area served by the United Way of Washington County-East. (This is the same geographic area served by the Stillwater Area Public Schools - ISD 834.)
