The mission of the United Way of Washington County-East is to unite our communities and local resources to give each person the chance to build a better life. We work collaboratively to Promote Thriving Children and Youth, Provide Basic Needs and Promote Financial Stability, and Improve Health and Independence, and Support Self-Sufficiency and Connection to Services-right here in the heart of Washington County. As an independent, nonprofit organization, we are overseen by a local board of directors and fueled by hundreds of other volunteers who serve our community and participate in funding decisions.

•Letter Carrier's Food Drive May 8th was a huge success with a record-breaking 20,000 POUNDS of food collected by our local Mail Carriers, then unloaded at Valley Outreach food shelf by United Way Volunteers. Thank you all!
December 12, 2009 Breakfast with Santa a GREAT success! Thanks to the Valley Ridge Mall. who hosted breakfast, live reindeer, holiday crafts, a fire engine, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus too!

Holiday Bears and Baskets help bring joy to neighbors in needs this holiday season.
August, 2009 Fare For All Express comes to Stillwater helping stretch food dollars for all.
• More than 100 food baskets and 100 bears helped make the holidays brighter for our neighbors in need. Thank you for your support of the Holiday Bears and Baskets program!

• October, 2009 Back to the 80's 4th Annual Casino Night was a great success. More than 200 people packed Acapulco Restaurante for food, music, and fun. Thank you to Sam Leon and Acapulco for putting on this great event to benefit our local United Way!
May 18, 2009 Local United Way opens new office at 1825 Curve Crest Blvd, Stillwater with generous support from HealthPartners, 3M, Zintl, and other companies and volunteers! Come visit us at our new location! Community groups are welcome to use the United Way meeting room at no charge. Just contact our office for details.

Don't miss this meal that makes a difference.... the Youth United Way Annual Empty Bowls Dinner .
Join us on Tuesday March 9th, 5-6:30 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Stillwater. Support local youth as they raise funds and awareness for needs in our local communities. Tickets are $20 and include a meal of soup and bread and an artisan bowl to take home as a reminder of hunger in our community.
Save up to 50% on monthly groceries. United Way has partnered with the Emergency Foodshelf Network to bring Fare For All to the Stillwater Junior High School from 5-7 PM oneTuesday each month. The next dates are June 15, July 20 and Aug 17th. Fare for All is open to everyone who wants to stretch their food budget. Volunteers are needed!
