The Community Services Committee of the United Way of Washington County - East collectively plan and implement events and activities that benefit both union and non-union families in area communities that range from Marine On St. Croix, Stillwater,Bayport, and Oak Park Heights, to Lakeland, Afton, and Woodbury.

Our United Way of Washington County-East has a long history of a working partnership with area union members. Our current Community Services Committee members include:
Jerry Serfling -- AFSCME Council #5, Community Services Liason to our UWWCE Board
Judy Atkins -- retired AFSCME, UWWCE Board Member
Joan Beaver -- St. Croix Education Association, UWWCE Board Member, 2012 UWWCE Campaign Chair
Lisa Schoelerman -- teacher at Stillwater Junior High School
Brian Beedle -- Council of Carpenters
United Way staff on the committee is
Lisa Boynton, our AFL-CIO Community Services Liaison. Lisa is one of over two hundred liaisons across the nation who work on United Way campaigns with labor employers, coordinate labor union volunteers for United Way events and projects, and give human and social service information to individuals and families. Community Service Volunteers

Community Services members encourage their coworkers to volunteer time and talent to prepare in many ways in the community.
