Women UNITED, formerly Women’s Leadership Council, is an affiliate program of the United Way of Washington County East (UWWCE) which focuses on women helping women. Women UNITED is a group of women that have a common passion and a shared cause!

Women UNITED’s mission is to work with local agencies to help single mothers with job-enhancing programs and workshops through a scholarship fund opportunity. This scholarship fund and partnership was created with Valley Outreach to help support low-income single mothers in need to help empower and support better employment opportunities and a stronger community safety net.  This collaboration creates an opportunity to both expand Valley Outreach’s financial assistance and the Women UNITED mission, using available Women UNITED funding for education and vocational scholarships focused on lower income, single mothers in Washington County.
