On Saturday, May 11 the National Association of Letter Carriers held the nation's largest one-day food drive. Locally the NALC, in partnership with the St. Croix Valley Labor Assembly and United Way of Washington County-East, collected 17,824 pounds of nonperishable food and personal care items thanks to generous contributions from St. Croix Valley area residents. Children and their parents had a wonderful time packing the Valley Ridge Mall on December 8th, 2012. They enjoyed a delicious breakfast provided by Acapulco Restaurant, many different arts and crafts provided by local organizations, and free photos with Santa!
