Help All Kids Succeed in School
To promote a great start to the school year, Community Thread and United Way of Washington County-East are collecting school supplies for students in the school district through the Stuff the Bus campaign. The partnering organizations seek volunteer support on Thursday, August 18 and donations of school supplies leading up to the event.
With the rising cost of sending a child back to school, these two organizations recognize the importance of helping all kids succeed by providing them with the basic tools needed to start the year off right.

Jeffrey Brown, interim Executive Director of UWWCE
We are very excited to announce that we have hired Jeffrey Brown as our interim Executive Director.
Our previous Executive Director left at the end of 2015. Due to opportunities to consider a collaboration with The United Way of St. Croix Valley, our board reached a decision to engage an interim Executive. Our search produced a strong set of candidates and we are confident that Jeff brings the right skills and leadership to our organization during this exciting period.
