Stuff the Bus : 2020

Thank You!

On behalf of the United Way of Washington County-East, thank you to everyone who donated items or volunteered their time for our Stuff the Bus event. Your support for our programs helps us respond to the growing needs of today and strengthens our community for the future.
The United Way of Washington County-East partners with over 17 partner agencies and helps fund over 36 essential programs. One of these partner agencies, Community Thread, was instrumental in the success of this event. This year we edited our fundraiser to be a curbside pickup at Community Thread. 124 volunteers counted and sorted school supplies so that they were pick up ready for the 133 households that pre-registered. Thanks to these volunteers and our generous community we were able to raise over $30,000, supplying 286 children with the supplies they need to have a great start to the school year.
This incredible event could not have been as successful without the support of our sponsors; Cub Foods, DiaSorin, Fleet Farm, SRI and Verizon Wireless.
A special thank you to all of our supply drop off sites: American Family Insurance, Community Thread, Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Institute, Eckberg Lammers P.C., First Resource Bank, First State Bank & Trust, Keller Williams Premier Realty, Lake Elmo Bank, MidWestOne Bank, Sletten and Brettin Orthodontics - Stillwater Office, Stillwater Motors, The Zephyr Theatre, United Way of Washington County-East.

It is estimated that more than 16% of kids enrolled in the Stillwater Area School District each year do not have all the tools they need to succeed in school. Community Thread and United Way of Washington County-East are joining together to meet this need by collecting school supplies for students in need.

Please consider joining us as a sponsor to meet this need in our community to help all kids succeed.
