UNITED THROUGH COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
There are so many ways to get involved with your LOCAL United Way – whether you're passionate about planning events, advancing equity, supporting mental health, or shaping how community dollars are invested. No matter the interests or availability, there's a meaningful way for you to make an impact close to home. Here are a few ways; if one sparks your interest click the button to learn more.
Behind-the-Scenes Committees
Love bringing people together? Join a committee that helps plan and support our signature events like the Gala, Stuff the Bus, Fish United, You R You, and others. These volunteers play a vital role in creating welcoming, successful events that connect our community and fuel our mission.
The Annual Campaign
Our Annual Campaign is our largest source of revenue and a powerful way to create lasting local change. Our 'Campaign' includes the following events; Lunch + Learn, Leadership Breakfast, and United Way Week. Campaign supports allow us to fund nonprofit partners and lead initiatives that advance equity and address the communities most pressing and urgent needs. Get involved by starting a workplace campaign, serving on our campaign steering committee, or becoming a Give Back Partner.
Women United
Women United of Washington County-East is dedicated to advancing the mental health and well-being of women and girls. Through advocacy, collaboration, and stategic initiatives, Women United works to break down stigma, increase access to mental health resources, and build a supportive community where women and girls can thrive mentally, emotionally, and socially. Also, we host an annual one-day retreat for girls and those who identify as female entering 6th grade, You R You, where we focus about body positivity, healthy relationships, and mental health.
