Moraima is our Gala Intern at United Way of Washington County-East. Originally from Dallas, Texas, she is a Senior at St. Catherine University and majoring in Communication. Moving to Minnesota for school pushed her outside her comfort zone and helped shape her independence, resilience, and appreciation for meaningful connections. These experiences sparked her passion for storytelling, growth, and connecting with others as she explores future plans, including graduate school.
As Gala Intern, Moraima supports planning for our annual gala, A Night in Full Bloom, assisting with event logistics, auction item coordination, and on-site event support. She also helps manage the online auction, supports donor and sponsor thank-you efforts, and works with staff to ensure gala communications and practices are welcoming and inclusive.
Moraima will intern with us until May 2026.
