Sarah Mulford has served as Marketing + Communications Manager at United Way of Washington County-East since February 2024, where she leads storytelling, branding, and outreach efforts that connect the community to impact. She brings more than five years of experience in the nonprofit sector, along with a background as a small business owner partnering with local businesses and companies to build thoughtful, effective brand identities.
Sarah holds a Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Technology from the University of Northern Iowa. Graphic design has been her passion for more than 15 years, evolving from a love of newspaper and print layout into a dynamic digital practice. She is continually challenging herself to learn new tools, adapt to emerging trends, and try new creative approaches. Sarah currently serves on the Hamline Midway Coalition Board of Directors.
A Minnesota resident for more than 13 years after relocating from Iowa, Sarah now calls St. Paul home, where she appreciates the city's rich history, vibrant music scene, and diverse culture. Outside of work, she enjoys camping, live music, reading, gardening, thrifting, and trips to the North Shore. She is married to her wife, Jess, and a proud cat mom to Oliver and Tej.
